Happy Fall, again. I think you are going to hear me say this again and again. How’s everyone, especially moms? Are your kids driving you crazy by changing their minds almost 100 times about their Halloween costumes? Well, join the club! Don’t worry, though, this post is going to give you plenty of ideas for Halloween costumes for your kids. I particularly picked theses costumes for kids so they can be used after Halloween for playing dress-up as well. If you buy something very specific, such as a witch or similar to it, then the kids are going to be limited with it and are only going to use it only on the day of Halloween as opposed to these all-purpose ones. The Top 10 Stunning Halloween Costumes For KidsNumber 1: Captain America Kids CostumeA very neat and patriotic costume. Kids feel like they are really Captain America and that totally makes this costume cool. My son was over the moon when he saw this costume at Disneyland. These little kids really enjoy being in the costume and act like they are real movie characters. ![]() Number 2: SpidermanThis Spiderman Halloween costume is another great idea for kids to have, as who doesn’t love Spiderman as a child? Kids feel like after wearing this they have all the power on earth. However, it’s not true…lol! Right, mammas? This costume was pretty durable as we used for 3 to 4 years wearing it for not only on multiple Halloween events but also when they play together during the year. It was pretty easy to get on and off and the face mask also fits well. So, don’t mind it when your kids ask you for this somewhat spooky costume! ![]() Bushra’s Lifestyle is a participant in the Amazon Services, LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. This picture is from 2 or 3 years ago. We bought this costume after Halloween as he was Buzz on the day of Halloween. My son used this for almost 2 years. His sister was playing Jessie with him. In my opinion, Halloween costumes are worth buying new as your little one can use them for the rest of the year. They love to play as their favorite characters. ![]() Number 4: Jessie (Howdy, Partner!)My girls totally rock these costumes. I had to buy two, otherwise, I was going to be in trouble! It is so fun to see the girls pretending to be exactly like Jessie and saying to each other “Howdy, Partner!” with their bother who had the Woody costume. ![]() Click on the images below if you would like to buy the costume Number 5: Queen Elsa (Let it go, Let it go!)If you have a little girl and she loves Elsa, I bet your ears are already sick with the song you have heard probably more than a million times: “Let it go. Let it go” but you still will be up for this costume for your little one. ![]() Number 6: Anna (It’s Coronation day!)“Can I say something crazy?” I get to hear this a lot. These two silly princesses are breathtaking. This is our 4th time buying this costume for them. As you know, kids grow out of their clothing fast but apparently girls don’t get sick of Anna. Hence, this costume has a high demand. It does look pretty, though. ![]() Click on the image below to order according to your child’s size Number 7: Minnie MouseWe all know how a lot of little girls are obsessed with Minnie Mouse. It’s one of my favorite dresses for little girls as there is a kid’s tea set also available to play tea party time. ![]() Click on the image below if you would like to order the costume. Number 9: Pink Power RangerIt’s totally adorable for your girls, as mine looks totally cute. She was excited when we got this for her. It was a surprise and we didn’t tell her before Halloween. It sometimes gets hard to hide things from these darn kids, but in our old house, I had a chest hidden in the closet in the basement. When we gave it to her she totally freaked out and said, “How do you know I wanted to have that?”…Hello, I am your mother! I especially love these boots that come with it. They are fake boots and fit over your regular shoes or boots. ![]() Number 10: Ray From “Star Wars”This costume is pretty impressive as far as Halloween getups go. Even boys love it. Ray is super popular for 3rd to 5th graders. This year, my older one is going to be Ray. She is beyond happy! The post 10 Classic Halloween Costumes For Kids appeared first on Bushra's Lifestyle. from https://bushraslifestyle.com/10-classic-halloween-costumes-for-kids/ Oh, it’s that time of the year again, when leaves turned their color to a beautiful red, and life becomes just more pretty. I love the Fall season, and Fall crafts as well. Hence, today’s post is all about DIY table place cards for Fall table settings! Let’s see what they are, and how can you make them. What Are Table Cards? The pretty simple answer to this is that table cards or table name cards, or even table place cards, are the piece of paper in beautiful writing that states the name of the person who is going to claim that seat on the dining table or conference room table where the card has been placed. On business dinners or meetings, table name cards state the names of guests and the table number. However, for the family dinner or lunch, you don’t need the table number. Do You Put First And Last Name On Place CardsMy personal opinion is to only place the first name if it’s an informal gathering, and add the last name if it’s a formal gathering with the title, such as Mr., Mrs., Dr., etc. Let’s start the tutorial now. For this project, I have used “Dollar Tree” Products, and here is the supply list:
![]() The tutorial is going to take less than 2 minutes, and here are the steps for you… Trace a piece of construction paper using the paper from the frame as a sample. After you trace it, cut the paper using scissors. Then, using a Sharpie, write the name of the guest on the paper. Then, place it in the frame.
![]() Don’t use glue on it. Otherwise, you can’t reuse this frame for any other occasion. Other Creative DIY Projects: In the video below I have shown you two types of place cards. Related Questions: How Do You Write Table Cards? You can handwrite or print them, it’s totally a personal choice. There is no rule set to stone. I just wrote on the above card, as you can see, with a Sharpie Where Do Place Cards Go On Your TableYou can place them in the center of the plate, on the napkin, or right in front of the guest. ![]() What Is The Standard Size Of A Place Card?It should be as big as a business card, and the size is 3.5 x 2 inches. You can have a personalized card, and make it a bit larger or smaller in size. A Business card is just a reference point. ![]() Place Card Template – Free DownloadHere is the free Fall printable for you that I have created in “Canva”. Write your name on it and print it out. An Easy DIY TutorialAre you obsessed with organizing and making everything pretty like me? Perhaps you happen to like pretty things that are affordable. If yes to these, then you will enjoy this easy tutorial! Let’s see how easy is to line any drawer, using a drawer liner, before you start organizing. My mission is to provide you thoughtful resources for affordable homemaking. -Bushra What Types Of Paper Is Better For Lining Your Drawers? There are several papers out there that you can use to line your drawers. However, I prefer to go with the most inexpensive method. Below, I will show you a few different liners to easily beautify any drawer in the house. The big benefits of drawer liners are that they keep your drawer safe. I mostly use self-adhesive liners, which can come off easily if needed. You can also use “Mod Podge” to line your drawers, but it becomes a little difficult if you need to change it out. It’s not impossible however, just hard to replace. Bushra’s Lifestyle is a participant in the Amazon Services, LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. Let’s start the tutorial, shall we?Required Tools/SuppliesThere only a few tools you are going to need for this:
Here are the steps I took while lining all my drawers: Step 1: Cleaning Before Applying A Drawer Liner![]() Clean your drawer’s surface so there won’t be any gunk left. I use baby wipes, as they are easy to use, and leave a really good smell behind. On the other hand, you can use a liquid cleaner. However, then you have to let the drawer dry completely before you place your liner paper in it. Step 2: Cut Your Template And Drawer LinerIf you are going for multiple drawers at once, it’s easiest if you cut a template. It will not only save you time in the long run but, will also make the process very quick for you. The other thing is if you are lining your drawers with adhesive contact paper, then it’s hard to adjust. Here is what I did: I used some backing from the wallpaper I used in the laundry room. I saved that backing to cut my pattern for different things, or to use in crafts with the kids. Once I got my template ready with the exact measurement, the next step was to place that piece on the actual liner you are going to use and cut them for all the drawers at once. My dresser had 6 drawers, so I cut all the six drawers. It speeds up the process. This is how you cut your template: Put one edge of the paper against the drawer on one side and the other edge against the other side. Once it is lined neatly, take a knife and place a light mark around the extra paper. Cut the paper to the desired size using scissors or a knife. Use any paper for the template. You can use paper grocery bags if you have them around the house. Once you have the template, place it over the liner, and go ahead and cut them all. Step 3: Place Your LinerNow, since your drawer is clean and ready to go, peel off the contact paper from the one corner and place it securely in that corner. You never want to peel off way too much of backing at once as it can become a sticky mess for you. Next, line the longest edge of the drawer. It just makes sense to place one side neatly. After that, you should be good for the rest of the drawer. Use that little handy plastic putty to smooth it out. It will get rid of any wrinkles and make it look nice and smooth. ![]() Then, use a sharp knife and cut whatever extra paper is along the edges, if there is any. It will make your sides look nice and clean. ![]() Other DIY Projects You Might Be Interested In: A Drawer Liner Using Mod PodgeThis is my favorite method. It’s a little tedious, but at the same time, it’s the most useful method. You can use Mod Podge with anything. For instance, you can use gift wrapping paper as your drawer liner. You can also use fabric, scrap paper, or any other type of liner while using Mod Podge to place it. The steps are pretty much the same as the method above. Cut your template first to make your life easy. Once you are ready to place it, use glossy or matte Mod Podge. It’s a personal choice. I purchase Mod Podge from Walmart in the craft section or Amazon. ![]() Pro tip: If your drawers have different shapes, like curved or so, just place your drawer over the paper and trace it. Keep in mind that the liner is just going to be inside the bottom of the drawer, so cut off the extra centimeters where the edges of the drawer would be. After cutting your template, check to see if it fits perfectly. Otherwise, make the necessary adjustments so it can fit better. Make sure you do all that before you start applying Mod Podge. Apply Mod PodgeOnce your liner is ready to go, it’s time to apply the Mod Podge inside the drawer. Just spread a generous amount of it using a foam brush. I have found the foam brushes are the best to use. Make sure your entire bottom is full of glue and have it spread evenly from edge to edge. Don’t leave any area bare. Less glue can cause wrinkles after the liner dries. However, too much glue is not good either. After spreading the glue, place your liner in the drawer and secure it using a plastic putty knife. Get rid of all the wrinkles and bubbles. That’s the part that gets a little tedious, but again, it’s worth it. This is also the time when you wipe off any extra glue while pressing the paper down.
Apply The Final CoatLet it dry completely before you start the final step. Once dried, go ahead and start the final step to seal the paper in place. Apply Mod Podge all over the paper using the same brush. This will make your liner much more durable and it will last a long time, especially if kids are going to use these drawers. It will keep them intact for a lifetime, and you can use them for years. Once you are done with the final step, let them be dry for more than a few hours before you start using them. ![]() You can use the same steps to put liner anywhere you want to, as I did it on the top of the nightstand as well. I also use it in my Daughter’s dollhouse for the bathroom section. Related Questions:What Is A Drawer Liner?Any paper product used to cover or line your drawers anywhere in the house is called a drawer liner. Including, but not limited to, contact paper, gift paper, canvas paper, or wallpaper of your choice. Can You Use Wallpaper To line Drawers?Yes! As I stated above, you can use any paper product of your choice. In fact, wallpaper can cover more square footage. Hence it is a great reason to use that material. How do You Make Scented Drawer Liners?Once you are done lining all your drawers, use any essential oil you like and spray it on a cotton ball. Place the cotton balls in the drawer and there you have it! ![]() Recommended Drawer LinersThese are the few liners I really like, and I am putting the link below for you. Today we are going to talk about wallpaper and how to select the correct and trendy wallpaper style to put in your desired room. Hey, I know it sucks to see 60’s to 80’s wallpapers from those old movies. However, with new technology and great timeless computerized designs, wallpaper can add an elegant charm to any room in your home. When we purchased our very first house, man, we were super excited to be first-time homeowners that I felt like I was in seventh heaven. I was that happy! I was totally in love with my new home except for our kitchen. Yikes, it was full of 70’s wallpaper! Well, the house had way too much potential in it, so we ignored the wallpaper for the moment and were excited about the makeover our house was going to get. Today is totally different. Everyone likes to pick some sorta wallpaper and in this post, we will learn the tips and tricks on how to select the correct one. ![]() Wallpaper can bring a new life to any room in the house without breaking the bank. Designer tips to be considered before you purchase your wallpaper by keeping end-use of space in mind. 1-High Traffic vs Low Traffic AreasBefore you decide on any types of wallpaper, you need to consider if it’s a high traffic area or a low traffic area. If it’s a really busy room, for instance, the family room in your house where you gather all the time to hang out with each other, then don’t go with grasscloth. Grasscloth was really popular back in the 60s and apparently “Old is gold”. Therefore, it’s a hot trend these days, but with high traffic areas, this will not work. It is a bit fussy to work with. That should be perfect for your bedroom, as you don’t spend as much time there as you spend in the family room. 2- Low Ceilings vs High CeilingsThe second most important point to consider while picking a cool wallpaper is to look at your ceiling in the area where you are going to install it. If it’s very low, don’t go with busy designs. Instead, choose small prints or plain wallpaper. Large prints will make your room look very crowded. On the other hand, do the opposite for high ceilings. Striped wallpapers are always great for low ceilings. 3- Vintage vs Modern RoomsA lot of you like a vintage style in your decor. So, with vintage style, go for more of the light green color palette or neutral to dark grays. Whereas, if your space is more minimalist or modern, then geometrics prints are the best. Although, you do have to consider going with geometric design wallpaper. Plain furniture is the best to match with this. You can also draw inspiration from the other pieces from the room. Let’s say you have a beautiful pair of lamps with a nice design on the lampshades which is prominent in the space. Pick a color to match with it, and add a nice texture and warm vibes into the overall design scheme. 4- Bright Room vs Dark Room WallpaperLook at the paper pattern in the daytime and in the evening so you can have an idea of how the light catches it. For less light, use a lighter color. 5- Masculin vs FeminineGrasscloth or geometrics prints are better for the office, men’s libraries, or boys’ bedrooms. Whereas floral and botanical wallpapers are most common for feminine spaces. Pink floral wallpaper looks great for rooms meant for girls. Geometric wallpapers are also popular with the modern style. Romantic rooms are a good candidate for damasks and floral wallpapers. 6- Moist vs Dry AreasUse vinyl paper for bathrooms as it is an area where you can see a lot of moisture. Vinyl wallpaper is the best as it’s the most stain-resistant. Or, if you go with a different type, apply it on a wall that is away from the sink so it doesn’t get wet. If it is in a moisture-free area, such as a bedroom, any type of wallpaper will work. 7- Pattern, Color, and Texture for wallpaper to keep in mindFor smaller rooms, use less busy colors and patterns, or maybe color and texture, and not a pattern. Monochromatic designs with texture also work the best in small spaces. To make task area fun, such as your laundry room, closet, or mudroom, use bold styles or colors. ![]() 8- Create a focal point with wallpaperWallpaper can enhance any focal area and add so much charm to it. Especially above the fireplace or any main focal wall in the room. I know that sometimes people think that wallpaper is pricey but think of it as if you were to buy any large piece of art to cover your whole wall that would be much more expensive than any trendy and cool wallpaper. Sometimes adding wallpaper to the ceiling can enhance the look of your entire room, and is more than enough. Wallpaper is certainly an attractive way to bring some texture and fun to any space. The Most Handiest TipAs you know, wallpaper comes in endless colors and patterns, which makes it become hard to decide which one you want to go with. The best advice I can give you is to order a few samples first unless you are absolutely sure of what you exactly want after keeping the above tips in mind. Check your sample out in the daylight vs in the evening to see how it looks. Once you are pretty sure about your choice, then order the larger rolls. I like to buy large rolls as I am pretty used to online shopping and being impatient I just want to start working on my projects in order to see the end result, lol! How many wallpapers rolls do you need? You can measure your space easily and calculate the exact measurement to order. Here is the formula to measure it:
Once you have your measurements, check out the measurements on the rolls of paper and order according to your needs. I order one role extra just in case I make any mistakes. Here is the post I did on how to hang wallpaper. Properly hung wallpaper lasts three times longer than paint. Since you are now a pro, don’t be afraid of wallpapers. Go ahead and order yours! Don’t forget to share pictures on our Facebook page once you are done with your space. Pin It for later! ![]() Let me know if I missed anything or if you would like to add any other tip in addition to what I have mentioned above. Also, what kind of wallpaper do you like the most? For example, I like floral and geometric wallpapers.
